At the end of your walk at Little Venice (Alefkandra) you will find this Mykonos landmark, in the Kastro neighborhood, by the homonymous bar. What you see is in essence five churches joined in a bigger one. The name Paraportiani in Greek means by the door, at an attempt to describe the place of the church next to the gate of the Kastro area. Building of the first church started in the 14th century and completed with the fifth one in the 17th century. Sadly the church is closed for visitors, so you can only admire it from outside.
