Manneken–Pis: the famous bronze boy mascot of the city of Brussels!
This little boy has 3 times more suits than the days of the year!
Yet, despite the weather in Brussels, you might mostly see him naked!
Some might be offended by his presence but the fact remains he is … doing what he knows well from 1618!
Although tiny and bronze, (just 61 cm tall) he attracts a great number of people! His designer Jerome Duquesnoy could have never anticipated such a fame!
You can find him very close to the Grand Place at the junction of Rue de l’Étuve/Stoofstraat and Rue du Chêne/Eikstraat.
And some film trivia: Remember the 1968 movie “The Party” with Peter Sellers? That statue in the modern house is a replica of this famous star!
